Falcon is where the trees stop and the wind starts, and that changes what happens to your windshield. There's nothing out here to slow the grit down, so it stays in the air. If you drive Woodmen Road or Highway 24 every day, you're taking rock at highway speed with no windbreak. If you live on a gravel road north of 24, you're kicking up your own every time you come home.
All that construction
Meridian Ranch, Woodmen Hills and the newer neighborhoods off Eastonville have been under construction for years. That means dump trucks, gravel roads and loose rock on the way to just about everywhere. New neighborhoods are rough on windshields.
And then there's hail
The open ground east of the city catches some of the worst hail in the state. A storm can roll in off the plains and cover a windshield in little dings in about a minute. One or two can be repaired. Once there are four or five in the same area, it's a replacement.
After a big storm, call early. Everybody on the Front Range is backed up for a week or two.
Wind is the one thing we'll ask about
Falcon driveways are usually great for mobile work. Lots of room. The only problem is wind. Nobody should be setting a windshield in a 35 mph gust, so if it's really blowing, a garage or a shop helps.
Prices are the same as in town: $60 to $110 for a chip, $250 to $400 for a basic windshield, and $550 to $1,100 with a camera.

I've got five little hail dings. Repair or replace?
Almost always replace. Every repair leaves a small mark, and five of them bunched together is harder to see through than a new windshield.
Do you charge extra to come out to Falcon?
No. Falcon is part of our normal area.
